Description


Advanced Concept System Engineer for a growing Global Communications Systems (GCS) organization.



  • Develop systems for GCS proposals, pursuits, and programs utilizing L3Harris and other OEM equipment to offer a complete customer solution integrated into customer systems and various platforms (land vehicle, ship, aircraft, UAV). Tactical systems deployed over following: HF, VHF, UHF, and microwave radios, custom design peripheral subsystems for both voice and data applications.

  • Complete the integration of communications equipment, electronics, software applications, and power systems into vehicle and shelter platforms.

  • Prepare, integrate, execute system demonstrations based on core architectual components

  • Support the expansion of core Systems Architectures (SA) and System CONOPS for the Global Communications System Segment. Tailor the SA and CONOPS based on specific customer use cases.

  • Identify Key diferentiators for GCS Solutions based the broad L3Harris Technologies product catalog.

  • Work closely with Engineering leads and Sales to capture and document customer requirements.

  • Support major proposals with support from engineering resources.

  • Support Proposal Leads to ensure that proposals are executed efficiently and on schedule.

  • Prepare white papers and presentations.

  • Analyze and understand solutions from previous proposals and executed programs in order to provide scope guidance during early capture phases.

  • Coordinate with Project Management to ensure the conversion of customer requirements, including informal requirements, into solutions that balance the technical, schedule and cost constraints for the system design.

  • Position requires the demonstrated ability to work effectively with other organizations (Engineering, Sales, Program Management, and Operations) to complete assigned projects.



Qualifications:


Bachelor&s;s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Skills:


Experience in one or more of the following areas:



  • Exposure to technical proposal experience to include knowledge and expertise in the following areas: detailed scheduling, work breakdown structure development, basis of estimates development and technical writing.

  • Vehicle and shelter systems integration - to include communication systems, intercom systems, electronics, software application, and power systems.

  • Software and Hardware Integration based for radio, network, and user applications.

  • Knowledge of RF antenna systems, two-way tactical radio systems, microwave systems, other wireless systems, IP networks, International Government / DoD systems experience desirable.

  • Proficiency at writing clear and concise language tailored to a wide variety of audiences. Successful candidate will possess excellent technical, interpersonal and customer skills, plus demonstrate the capacity to effectively foster team building within and beyond his/her work group.

  • Packaging and performance verification of electrical systems for harsh environments including rugged packaging for transport and mobile applications. Military Systems experience in this area a plus.

  • International travel experiences as well as foreign language proficiency a plus.

Salary: $13.20 - $17.65Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
